Our Mission

The staff at Ancora Counseling chose an anchor as its logo and symbol of its mission.

The word anchor derives from the Latin word Ancora. In the same way an anchor stabilizes a ship in rough seas, we at Ancora Counseling strive to provide an atmosphere of stability, strength, and support for clients during the counseling process.

We at Ancora believe that people can change. We are committed to helping clients evaluate their behavior and facilitate any desired change. We believe that a person’s well-being is anchored in a hope that one can heal from mental, emotional and physical wounds.

The staff at Ancora Counseling can also offer Christian based counseling, if requested. For many Christians, their hope is an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. A hope that is based on the unfailing promises and love of God.
